Cancellation and reschedule policy

(1) Cancellation – Written notice by email must be submitted 7 days (168 hours) before the scheduled course date and time (whether original or rescheduled date, whichever comes first). A $35 cancellation fee will apply per person.

(2) Reschedule – Written notice by email must be submitted 2 days (48 hours) prior to the course date and time. No additional fees will apply.

(3) Late Notice Reschedule – Written notice by email must be submitted within 2 days (48 hours) of the course date and time. A $35 rescheduling fee applies per person including those due to illness or personal emergencies. Please submit your reschedule payment online and email us your new preferred date.

(4) Late Participants – Participants arriving between 20 minutes and 1 hour late will not be allowed to join the class and must reschedule to another course date. A $35 reschedule fee will apply per person. Please submit your reschedule payment online and email us your new preferred date. Those who arrive more than 1 hour late will be considered a no show and forfeit their registration without the option to reschedule or receive a refund.

(5) No Show – Participants who do not attend the course without prior written notice by email or arrive more than 1 hour late will be considered a no show. Refunds or rescheduling will not be permitted once the course begins.

(6) (If Applicable) Blended Online Learning – Participants attending class with an incomplete online component will be required to reschedule to another date, and a $35 reschedule fee will apply per person. Please submit your reschedule payment online and email us your new preferred date.

(7) (If Applicable) Recertification Discount Code – To use our recertification discount codes (RECERT-CPR, RECERT-EFA, or RECERT-SFA), you must meet the following condition: provide a valid (not expired on the day of your course) certificate for the same course, issued by one of the following organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart & Stroke Foundation (Canada), St. John Ambulance, Canadian Ski Patrol, or Lifesaving Society submitted to us within 2 days (48 hours) of registration via email (info@intensivecarefirstaid.ca). Failure to submit the required prerequisite or submission of an incorrect certificate within the specified timeframe will result in paying the difference between the recertification and full course fee and an additional $35 administrative penalty per person.

(8) (If Applicable) Full Online Courses - Our fully online courses including Medical Terminology, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Bloodborne Pathogens, and WHMIS are non-refundable and final sale.

(9) (If Applicable) Course Material Add-Ons - Optional add-ons (such as first aid manual, full-size CPR mask, keychain CPR mask, and N95 mask fitting) will be provided on the date of your registered course. These items will not be shipped beforehand. Participants who do not attend their in-person course will forfeit both the course materials and any eligibility for a refund. All course materials are final sale and non-refundable.

a) Valid Canadian or U.S. Driver’s License
b) Valid passport
c) Valid BC student identification card issued for the current school year
d) Employee picture identification card
e) Native status picture identification card
f) BC photo identification (digital) issued November 1996 or later
g) Other Canadian Government Issued Photo I.D.
