Basic First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (Formerly Emergency First Aid or OFA Level 1)

Overview

This course meets CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Standard Z1210-17 for Basic First Aid.
      ✔ Certification issued by the Canadian Red Cross
      ✔ WorkSafeBC approved certificate
      ✔ Formerly called Emergency First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (name changed in 2026)
      ✔ Formerly called Occupational First Aid OFA Level One (name changed in 2024)

Completion Requirements

• Completion of 4 hours online pre-reading before in-person class and 5.5 hours in-person training (total 9.5 hours)
• Completion of practical examination
• 100% participation
  
• 75% on written examination
• Identity verified with government-issued photo identification

Access Blended Learning

• Access will be granted within 2 hours of payment (between 9 am - 9 pm Monday to Sunday)

• Chapter 8: Wound Care (Bruises, Cuts and Scrapes, Burns)
• Chapter 9: Head, Neck, Spine, and Pelvis Injuries

Upon Completion

• An electronic Canadian Red Cross Basic First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (previously called Emergency First Aid and CPR/AED Level C) certification will be issued that’s valid for 3 years (issued within 3 days after completion)
