Overview

This course meets CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Standard Z1210-17 for Intermediate First Aid.
      ✔ Certification issued by the Canadian Red Cross
      WorkSafeBC approved certificate
      ✔ Formerly called Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (name changed in 2026)
      ✔ Formerly called Occupational First Aid OFA Level Two (name changed in 2024)

Completion Requirements

  • Completion of 8 hours online pre-reading before in-person class and 8 hours in-person training (total 16 hours)
  • Completion of practical examination
  • 100% participation
  • 75% on written examination
  • Identity verified with government-issued photo identification

Access Blended Learning

  • Access will be granted within 2 hours of payment (between 9 am - 9 pm Monday to Sunday)

  • Chapter 10: Bone, Muscle, and Joint Injuries
  • Chapter 11: Sudden Medical Emergencies (Diabetic Emergencies, Seizures, Mental Health Crisis)
  • Chapter 12: Environmental Illness (Heat and Cold Emergencies)
  • Chapter 13: Poisons (Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, Plant Poisoning, Alcohol and Drug Overdose, Naloxone Administration)

Upon Completion

  • An electronic Canadian Red Cross Intermediate First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (previously called Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C) certification will be issued that’s valid for 3 years (issued within 3 days after completion)
